60 day refund and return policy

Overview

We stand behind the quality of our refurbished systems. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will work with you to make it right. This policy applies to all retail sales made directly through Dusty’s Computers.

Return Window

We accept returns within 60 days of the original purchase date. Requests made after 60 days will not be accepted and you will be directed to your warranty coverage if applicable.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • You have the original receipt or proof of purchase

  • The unit is returned in the same or similar condition as sold - no new physical damage, missing parts, or added components

  • All included accessories, cables, documentation, and packaging materials are returned with the unit

  • The return is initiated by the original purchaser

We reserve the right to refuse a return or apply a restocking fee if the unit is returned in materially worse condition than it was sold, or if items are missing.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Software, operating system licenses, or digital products of any kind

  • Accessories sold separately (cables, mice, keyboards, monitors) unless defective at time of sale and reported within 7 days of purchase

  • Devices that have been physically damaged, modified, or tampered with after purchase

  • Any unit from which components have been removed or swapped out after purchase

  • Special-order or custom-configured systems built specifically for a customer unless defective

Refund Options

Upon receipt and inspection of a returned unit, we offer the following at our discretion:

  • Full refund to the original payment method if the unit is returned in original condition with all accessories within the 60-day window

  • Store credit for the full purchase amount, which does not expire

  • Exchange for another unit of equal or comparable value

Refunds to the original payment method are processed within 5–7 business days of the return being accepted. Cash purchases will be refunded by check or store credit at our discretion.

Restocking Fee

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price in the following situations:

  • The unit is returned without original packaging or accessories

  • The unit shows signs of heavy use beyond what was present at time of sale

  • Components or included items are missing

We will inform you of any restocking fee before completing the return.

Defective Units

If your unit is defective at the time of purchase or develops a covered defect, please refer to your One (1) Year Limited Warranty for repair and replacement options. A defective unit may be returned within the 60-day window for a full refund or exchange in lieu of warranty service, at your option.

If a defect is discovered after the 60-day return window has closed, warranty service applies and a refund will not be issued.

Data and Personal Information

Before returning any device, it is your responsibility to back up and remove all personal data. Dusty’s Computers is not responsible for any personal data left on a returned device. All returned units are wiped as part of our standard intake process.

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, contact us or bring the unit in person to our location: returns@dustyscomputers.com

Please have your receipt available. We do not accept returns shipped to us without prior authorization. If a mail-in return is arranged, the customer is responsible for shipping costs and any damage that occurs during transit.

Our Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse a return that does not meet the conditions stated in this policy, including but not limited to units that appear to have been intentionally damaged, stripped of parts, or returned fraudulently. Abuse of this policy may result in refusal of future sales.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to your transaction. A copy of this policy is available at our place of business upon request.
