Dusty’s Computers is a local refurbishing business. We collect only the minimum personal information needed to complete your purchase, provide warranty service, and contact you if there is a problem with your order. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

Information We Collect

When you do business with us, we may collect:

• Payment information (cash, card transaction records)

• Details about the product you purchased, including serial numbers

• Any information you voluntarily provide when requesting warranty service or repairs

We do not collect information about you when you are not actively doing business with us, and we do not track you online.

• Issue receipts and warranty documentation

How We Store Your Information

Customer records are stored securely on our business systems and/or in physical files kept on our premises. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, including password-protected systems and locked physical storage. We retain customer records for a minimum of three (3) years for warranty and tax purposes, after which records are securely deleted or shredded.

Information We Do Not Collect

To be clear, we do not:

• Collect data from or about devices you sell or trade in to us beyond what is necessary to process the transaction

• Access, copy, or retain any personal files, photos, documents, or data stored on devices you bring in for repair or purchase from us

• Use cookies, tracking pixels, or any web-based data collection unless we maintain a website with such features (see below)

Device Data Notice: If you sell or trade in a device, it is your responsibility to back up and wipe your personal data before bringing it to us. We perform a factory reset or drive wipe on all incoming devices as a standard part of our refurbishing process, but we are not responsible for any personal data left on a device you relinquish to us.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• Payment processors: Your card transaction is processed by our payment provider and is subject to their privacy policy

• Legal requirements: We will disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request

• Business successors: If our business is sold or transferred, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, and you will be notified if this occurs

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate information

• Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations

• Opt out of any marketing communications at any time

Website and Online Activity

If we operate a website, it may use basic analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand general visitor traffic. If so, that tool may use cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. We do not use your browsing data to build profiles or serve targeted advertising.

If you contact us through a web form or email, your message and contact details are stored only for the purpose of responding to you.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Our products and services are intended for adult consumers.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy at our place of business and, if applicable, on our website.
